Christian Bareford is an associate at Dell, Moser, Lane & Loughney, LLC. Mr. Bareford is a 1999 graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. At the undergraduate level, Mr. Bareford received a Bachelor of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University with a major in Political Science. Before joining Dell, Moser, Lane & Loughney, LLC, Mr. Bareford served as Deputy Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for three years in the civil litigation division of the Western Regional Office in Pittsburgh. In that capacity, he represented Pennsylvania, its agencies, and employees in civil actions that included labor and employment litigation and claims involving allegations of violations of civil and constitutional rights. He has served as lead counsel on bench and jury trials before the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court and U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania (in Pittsburgh and Erie, PA), and has argued successfully before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Mr. Bareford began his legal career on active duty in the United States Marine Corps as a judge advocate where he served as a prosecutor, defense counsel, Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of California, and labor and employment attorney for the Office of Counsel in Quantico, VA. During this time, he prosecuted felony cases and defended clients in military courts-martial before a military judge and juries comprised of military members, prosecuted cases before a U.S. Magistrate Judge in Joshua Tree, CA, and represented military installations before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In December of 2003, he was honorably discharged from active duty at the rank of major.
